About IMS

The International Montessori School (IMS) is a prestigious Hong Kong international school that offers an innovative, authentic, bilingual Montessori experiential education to students from diverse cultural backgrounds from infancy to age 12.  Established in 2002, IMS currently serves close to 1,000 students from four locations across Hong Kong island, encompassing 4 preschools (in Stanley, Aldrich Bay, Mid-Levels, and South Horizons) and a primary school in Stanley.

The Role

IMS is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of School who will ensure that IMS’ mission and vision are realised across all four campuses. The Head of School will be responsible for both internal- and external-facing leadership responsibilities, building and mentoring teams, and supporting the continued excellence of IMS’ educational offering and programme.

The Head of School will work closely with the Board of Directors to develop strategies to capitalise on new opportunities for expanding the school's offerings, including the planned Montessori Middle School in August 2025 (pending government approval) and potential secondary education initiatives and/or partnerships.

The Head of School will report to the Board of Directors and will be supported by the IMS Senior Leadership Team, including the Executive Director, Director of Programmes, and other Campus/Operational Leaders.
