We strive for a just world, working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners.

At Plan International we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to transform the lives of 100 million girls over 5 years. We are working in local communities in more than 50 countries to ensure all children enjoy the rights to which they are entitled. Because girls are often the most vulnerable we place a special focus on tackling the challenges they face – such as ending child marriage, keeping them in school and helping them to speak up for themselves. To transform lives, we need to be a dynamic and agile organisation that can deliver real change. Our five year strategy challenges us to transform how we work and we need outstanding leaders to help us do so.

We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Director, Finance and IT who is passionate about creating a better world to join our global executive team. As part of the Plan International Leadership Team this role is key to our success.

We need a leader who is inspired by what they do and who can inspire others around them. You will have a clear track record of accomplishment as a senior manager and be committed to working for children’s rights and gender equality. You will be an accomplished individual with strong business analytical skills and a track record of driving organisational development, IT and financial management. You will be comfortable navigating complexity, creative in the face of challenge and have outstanding strategic skills. You will thrive in multi-cultural environments, be a passionate believer in diversity and relish the opportunity to contribute significantly to a global organisation.

The closing date for applications is 9am GMT on Friday 23rd November 2018. The roles are based at the Plan International Global Hub based in Woking, Surrey and there will be travel required.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected. Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years and are now active in more than 70 countries. Read more about our work here: https://plan-international.org/
