Brunel University London is a global university, dedicated to providing teaching and research relevant to the needs of industry and society, and ensuring the UK has the knowledge base it needs to compete on the world stage.
Since 1966 Brunel has championed innovation and advancement, pioneering new degrees, and giving students the academic education, professional and personal skills they need to succeed in their future. We offer degree programmes in everything from anthropology to aerospace engineering; and business management to healthcare science. We work with over 8,000 companies to ensure our students receive the most employable education. Many of these companies support our students through placements opportunities, mentoring and graduate employment. Our engagement with industry reaches beyond the student experience and together we are committed to a culture of collaboration that truly meets the global challenges of the 21st century.
Engagement and partnerships are a crucial element in defining and shaping our Vision 2030 strategy. We are currently seeking a new Director of Business Engagement, Innovation and Entrepreneurship to help develop these collaborations and drive the University forward. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, this is a new role created to develop a University-wide strategy for engaging and developing partnerships with external business, third sector and government organisations in order to deliver the University’s goals in research and teaching. You will champion this activity and will work collaboratively across the University with both academic and professional services departments to deliver success. This role is integral to our ability to meet our strategic aims.
If you are an innovative and creative leader, with excellent stakeholder engagement and external relations skills, we want to hear from you. You will have demonstrable experience in strategic development, business engagement, relationship building and entrepreneurship. To the role you will bring an understanding of higher education and research development, familiarity with the political context and a clear vision for the future of Brunel University London.
