Here’s where you come in:

As Regional Head, Asia, your responsibilities will comprise of oversight to the MFI’s and CEO’s covering up to six countries across Asia (India, Philippines, Mongolia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Vietnam) where VisionFund currently serves over 376,000 borrowers with a loan portfolio of over $78 million. About 90% of these clients are women, and our work focuses on reaching financially-excluded rural and agricultural communities and impacts over 922,000 children.

As Regional Head, you are a highly accomplished visionary leader who combines proven business disciplines with inspirational management skills to provide exceptional guidance to VisionFund Asia leadership staff and to oversee all VisionFund Asia areas of operations including but not limited to; strategy management, people management, financial resource management, risk management, and board and partnership engagement. You will work to ensure effective management of ministry in alignment with World Vision’s Vision, Mission, Core Values and global strategic directions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: 40%

  • World Vision Coordination and Integration: 10%

  • Regulation and Transformation: 5%

Requirements include:

  • A track record of strategic leadership and management experience ideally gained within microfinance and banking operations.
  • A forward-looking, strategic mind-set combined with operational capability and experience in change management and continuous improvement.
  • A solid understanding of financial reporting and performance measurement as well as planning and forecasting.
  • A track record of developing and nurturing a talented team, spotting improvement opportunities and making those happen in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Good project management and organisational skills.
  • The ability to influence, persuade and build confidence, relationships and trust at a senior level across a complex organisational structure.
  • Experience and knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing the region.
