Fettes College, one of the UK’s pre-eminent independent schools, and Bright Scholar, the largest operator of international and bilingual K-12 schools in China, seek an outstanding Head of Primary School to play a key role in establishing and leading Fettes College Guangzhou (FCGZ). Opening in the Zengcheng District of Guangzhou in September 2020, this exciting new venture will bring the Fettes ethos to the Guangzhou area, one of China’s largest and most dynamic cities. FCGZ will be a co-educational boarding and day school with capacity for 2,394 pupils aged 2-18.

The successful candidate will lead the Primary School which will grow to 500 students aged six to ten years old and will offer the Chinese National Curriculum with enrichment from the PYP. The school will be a predominantly day school with some flexi and weekly boarding. This is an exciting opportunity to play a part in the creation of a new school and in the establishment of FCGZ at the forefront of international education in China.

The Head of Primary will be an experienced and adaptable leader with a keen interest in bi-curricular, bi-lingual education and a track record of successful primary leadership experience, developed in the UK or in an international setting. He or she will build the Primary School team as FCGZ grows and will inspire students, staff and parents alike in the pursuit of excellence. A commitment to holistic education and a genuine resonance with the FCGZ aims and ethos is essential.
