Chiltern Educational Trust is a new Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), established in 2019 to bring five Hertfordshire schools together to strengthen the quality of the education we offer. Comprising Ashlyns School, Bridgewater Primary School, Greenway Primary School & Nursery, Swing Gate Infant School & Nursery and Westfield Primary School & Nursery, our new MAT will realise the benefits of collaboration for all staff, pupils, parents and Governors. We seek a passionate and inspiring Founding Chief Executive to shape the evolution of our MAT in the early years of its life, establish a Trust-wide strategy and ethos and build the infrastructure we need. S/he will embed a collaborative working culture and ensure an ethos of continuous improvement in our five newly converted academies and those schools who may aspire to join us in the future. Our aim is to become nationally known as a high performing educational Trust.

Our Founding Chief Executive will be warm, empathetic and approachable. In addition, they will be a creative, enabling and entrepreneurial leader with a track record of success in developing high performing teams, improving schools and facilitating meaningful collaboration across schools to drive better outcomes for children and young people. S/he will be a keen strategist, who recognises the importance of a holistic and well-rounded educational experience for pupils. They will also have the intellect and personal authority to lead and develop a new MAT; and go on to have the diplomacy and communication skills to build close connections with wider partners and stakeholders. Previous start-up experience is not essential for the role, but candidates must have a proven ability to manage complexity, gain credibility swiftly with stakeholders and effect positive change.
