It is in this context that the University College Cork is seeking a new Director of Development. In this role the Director will work closely with the Executive Director for Development and Alumni Relations, major donors, alumni, academic and business communities to develop a robust strategy to enhance UCC’s engagement with supporters, partners and donors in Ireland and around the world. The Director of Development will be an outstanding leader with the ambition and drive to significantly enhance the philanthropic ambitions of the University. The Director will lead a dedicated team responsible for the University’s major gifts and philanthropic activity.

A strong leader who excels as both mentor and manager, the successful candidate will have a track record of leading fundraising teams and the ability to build strong partnerships with key academic colleagues, such as the leaders of research institutes and academic champions of projects identified for philanthropic support. A seasoned fundraiser with significant major gift success and campaign exposure, the Director of Development will assume responsibility and direction for UCC’s major and planned giving efforts, building effective, long-term, high-value philanthropic relationships at the highest level.

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
