The School of Social Sciences at the University of Bradford is recognised internationally for its research and teaching across social sciences in: Peace Studies and International Development, Psychology, Sociology and Criminology, and Social Work and Social Care. It is within this context that the University seeks to appoint a dynamic and ambitious Head of School of Social Sciences. Taking a strategic lead and management in the School, the successful candidate will engender within the School the vision of the University for excellence in research, student education and the student experience. Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences, the postholder will work in close consultation with the other Heads of School to create a truly interconnected teaching and research environment.
An outstanding academic, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong research and will also be able to evidence excellence in the development and delivery of teaching and the promotion of student experience.
