Queen Mary University of London has a distinguished tradition in Science and Engineering, and was one of the first UK universities to establish engineering, computer science, chemistry, and materials departments. This is an exciting time for Queen Mary University of London as we prepare for the launch of a new institutional strategy, and the Faculty of Science & Engineering will play a key role within this.

The Faculty today provides research and teaching excellence across engineering, science and mathematics in five academic Schools (Biological and Chemical Sciences, Physics and Astronomy, Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Engineering and Materials Science, and Mathematical Sciences), with diverse teaching programmes that include: Psychology, Mathematics with Finance, Actuarial , Materials and Design, and Digital Audio and Music Systems Engineering.

As a member of our Senior Executive, the Vice-Principal and Executive Dean (Science and Engineering) would be accorded the authority to provide leadership of the highest quality for the full range of activities within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, with support from the President and Principal, the rest of the Senior Executive, and the Council. We are looking for a candidate who will be genuinely excited by what makes Queen Mary University of London unique and by the challenges and opportunities of its future as a global university.
