Frensham Heights is a highly distinctive day and boarding school in Surrey welcoming students aged 3 to 18, and offering a well-rounded education that is creative and cultural, as well as academic. Progressive and liberal in approach, Frensham is a student-centred environment where all young people acquire the values of respect, tolerance, enquiry, creativity, independence and resilience. Frensham aims to give all students the tools to succeed in their education, helping them to extend their abilities and exceed their own expectations.

With the appointment of Rick Clarke as Head in January 2019, the School is entering an exciting new phase in its development and now seeks to appoint a well-qualified and self-motivated individual to the post of Director of External Relations.  Working within a progressive and ambitious school community and reporting directly to the Head, the appointee has an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in bringing together the Marketing, Admissions and Alumni relations activities across the School and develop and lead a coherent and dynamic external relations department.

This leadership position will suit an experienced and innovative professional with a proven track record within a sales and marketing related context.  The appointee will possess excellent leadership and relationship-building skills as well as creative marketing abilities and the entrepreneurial instincts to ensure Frensham Heights continues to thrive.

Experience of working within an educational environment is not essential.  The role would also suit an exceptional individual with similar commercial sales and marketing experience gained outside the sector, but who has an instinctive feel for the independent schools market and shares Frensham Heights’ vision of liberal education, combined with the relevant transferable skills to undertake this complex and fulfilling role.
