It is in this context that the University College Cork is seeking a new Head of Development to support the College of Arts Celtic Studies and Social Sciences (CACSSS) & Library. Working closely with the Head of College, faculty members and the Librarian, the Head of Development will be responsible for all aspects of major gift fundraising in the College and Library. The successful candidate will pursue a highly targeted approach toward identifying, cultivating, soliciting and providing stewardship to prospects and donors intended to secure financial support at the major gift level.

The Head of Development will develop annual performance goals with measurable outputs, including financial targets for new gifts and pledges in consultation with the Director of Development, the Executive Director, Development & Alumni Relations, the Head of College, and Librarian. A strong fundraiser, the successful candidate will have a track record of major gift fundraising and will develop a very good working knowledge of the activities, priorities and needs in teaching, research and other areas of the College, and those of the Library.

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
