The Glasgow School of Art (GSA) seeks a highly motivated Strategic Director of Estates to lead the creation of a vision for GSA’s Future Estate Strategy which will identify the potential capacity of the estate and present possible development opportunities. It will support our vision to be a global leader in studio- based learning and research, collaborating locally, nationally and internationally, transforming thinking by developing creative approaches with new audiences.

Reporting into the Director, the Strategic Director of Estates will lead the delivery of projects that support high quality environments for students, staff and external stakeholders and that provide a modern learning, working and social environment. The role-holder will be the project sponsor and the GSA institutional lead for the restoration of the world-renowned Mackintosh Building.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience of leading large, complex capital projects and planning works and substantive, senior-level strategic leadership and management experience of estates.
