World Horse Welfare is an international charity whose values are grounded in pragmatism and compassion that strives to support and improve the horse-human partnership in all its guises.  We run the largest rescue and rehoming scheme for equines in Britain and are currently working in 17 low- and middle-income countries worldwide, where working horses, donkeys and mules still play a fundamental role in people’s livelihoods.  Our work is synonymous with campaigning and education, aimed at preventing the suffering and maltreatment of horses, and we actively support the responsible use of horses in sport.

We are now recruiting for a full time Director of Fundraising to drive the delivery of the charity’s fundraising strategy and increasing revenue generated through philanthropy. In particular it is expected this role will advance the development of strategic partnerships and relationships with major donors. You will lead and manage a team of 12 who cover direct marketing, fundraising products, high value and supporter fundraising, and data and support services and be a key member of the charity’s Senior Management Team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate significant experience within a fundraising or appropriate marketing environment. You will have good experience in soliciting and securing gifts at the five-figure level and will have the ambition and experience to lead a young and dynamic fundraising team.

The deadline for applications is 9am BST on Monday 19th August 2019.
