FIGO is a professional organisation that brings together obstetrical and gynecological associations from all over the world. We are in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) and a consultative status with the United Nations (UN).
We advocate on a global stage, especially in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pertaining to reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and non-communicable diseases (SDG3). We also work to raise the status of women and enable their active participation to achieve their reproductive and sexual rights, including addressing FGM and gender-based violence (SDG5). FIGO provides education and training for our 132 Member Societies to build capacities of those from low-resource countries through strengthening leadership, good practice and promotion of policy dialogues.
We are now seeking our next Chief Executive, who will lead FIGO’s strategy, policies and business plans and develop and strengthen FIGO’s international networks with diversified stakeholders. They will oversee the development and implementation of new national and international awareness and mobilization campaigns and lead fundraising and profile-raising activities.
The next Chief Executive will require a highly motivated and experienced leader. They must have a successful record of leadership, experience in building and maintaining a highly effective team, and of managing sizeable and complex organizations at a senior level. The capacity to lead change is key, especially as the FIGO enters a new phase of development and modernisation. They will have the capacity to develop and implement a robust strategic vision and ability to communicate that effectively to all members of a large and complex organization. They will bring significant previous experience within fundraising and the interpersonal, advocacy, networking and communication skills to represent and promote FIGO.

The role will be based in London and the salary is c.£140,000 per annum. Candidates will need the existing right to work in the UK.
