Exeter is rated among the top 100 universities for the study of arts and humanities in the world and the College of Humanities (HUMS) is one of the UK’s leading centres for research and teaching. Significant investment has helped us build on already excellent research performance and student satisfaction at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and our varied research centres and institutes explore opportunities for interdisciplinary practice, developing international research partnerships across the world and fostering a vibrant atmosphere for intellectual exchange. We have been focusing heavily on building partnerships both nationally and internationally and already have a large number of external partners, across a wide range of activities, including research impact and student employability. Underpinning all of our activities are our University values of ambition, challenge, collaboration, community, impact and rigour.
We are now seeking a new Pro-Vice-Chancellor (PVC) and Executive Dean for HUMS. This is a superb opportunity to lead a successful college that is part of an ambitious and rapidly rising University. Reporting to the Provost, the PVC has full responsibility to lead and deliver the College’s academic and business plans, including financial contributions.
