Mount St Mary’s College

Appointment of Head of Senior School

Mount St Mary’s College is embarking on an exciting new phase in its development. Our Head, Nicholas Cuddihy, is moving into a Principal and CEO position focusing on the strategic and commercial development of The Mount Trust, and so we are looking to appoint to the role of Head of Senior School for the first time. We have ambitious plans to build on our considerable existing strengths and further shape our academic, pastoral and co-curricular provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious senior leader to contribute to the strategic development of The Mount Trust as part of a collegiate Executive Leadership Team. The post-holder will be responsible for the leadership of the 385-strong Senior School, deputising for the Principal and leading holistically on academic, pastoral and co-curricular provision with a particular focus on academic leadership and the smooth running of the Senior School. This post offers an excellent opportunity to develop as a leader in a school on a clear upward trajectory.

The successful candidate will be a charismatic leader with the interpersonal skills to engage and inspire pupils, parents and staff in the continued evolution of the Senior School. He or she will bring a track record of successful senior leadership experience, excellent organisational management skills and a collaborative, flexible style. High levels of ambition and integrity are essential, as is a resonance with the School’s Roman Catholic ethos and distinctive Jesuit character and aims. A remuneration package commensurate with the importance of the role and the experience of the successful candidate will be offered.
