The University is now looking to recruit a new Director of Human Resources to lead this important function and contribute to the university at a strategic level. As Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for leading the HR Division, as well as driving the HR Transformation Programme to enable the team to fully exploit digital HR and establish itself as a centre of customer excellence. You will play a key role in the development and delivery of the University’s People Strategy as part of the roll out of Sussex 2025.
Strong candidates for the role will possess a track record of successful strategic leadership of human resources services and transformational change within an organisation of significant complexity, where people are at the heart of organisational success. They will bring a genuine understanding of the role that a modern and progressive human resources function can play, and outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with experience of developing credibility with senior colleagues and external stakeholders. A strong alignment with the values and mission of Sussex will also be key.
