Ashford School is a dynamic, co-educational day and boarding school for c.1000 students aged 0 to 18.  Within our Prep School our focus is on celebrating individuality and inspiring children with creative teaching both in and out of the classroom.  Our aim is to grow happy, confident children who are given every opportunity to achieve their very best in a varied, broad curriculum. We are delighted that this has been recognised in a shortlisted place for 2019 for the ‘Pre-Prep/Prep School of the Year’ award from the TES.

We now seek an outstanding educationalist to lead the Prep School as Ashford moves into an exciting new phase in its development under the Headmaster, Michael Hall, who took up post in 2018.  The new Head of Prep will lead a high performing senior leadership team to deliver a vision for the Prep School which builds on existing strengths and further develops its relationship with the Senior School.

Warm, charismatic and highly visible both in school and externally, the new Head will inspire staff, pupils, parents and prospective parents alike. The successful candidate will combine an evidenced track record of successful strategic leadership experience with excellent presentation and communication skills and strong operational management skills. We welcome applications from both serving and aspiring Heads with experience gained within the UK or overseas whether in the independent or maintained sector. A proactive willingness to embrace wholeheartedly the many benefits of being part of United Learning is essential, as is a genuine resonance with the group’s ethos and values.
