Help inspire over 30,000 children to lead a remarkable life. Be an AET Trustee.

Do you have an expertise in education and are you passionate about the important role it plays in a child’s future and the wider society? At Academies Enterprise Trust we are looking for individuals like you to join our Board of Trustees – people who share in our single-minded vision to inspire each and every child to lead a remarkable life.

AET has been on a journey of significant change at every level over the last 3 years and is in good health. As one of the largest multi-academy trusts (MATs) in the country we are poised to become a truly inclusive and national force for good in education.

Today, three-quarters of our academies are now rated as ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, compared to just a quarter when they joined us. And, for the second year running, we have seen an impressive leap in our Key Stage 2 results. 2019 also saw AET buck the national trend at A Level - the provisional average point score for A levels across AET's academies increased by over 3 points.

We are looking for three new Trustees to join our Board for the next phase of our journey and inspire more children to lead a remarkable life.

We work across all phases of education with 58 schools (32 primary, 21 secondary and 5 special) 31,000 children, and 5,000 staff. AET is the country’s most national MAT with schools spanning the UK.

AET is committed to ensuring diversity at all levels and warmly welcomes applications from candidates from underrepresented groups at board level, including women, BAME, disabled and LGBTQ+ candidates.

Applicants should submit a CV (including comprehensive details of key achievements and responsibilities) along with a covering letter which fully addresses the competencies outlined in the job description and person specification and outlines their interest in joining AET.
