We are seeking a special individual with a clear passion and commitment to Karta initiative’s mission, to serve as our inaugural CEO. Your role will be to power and grow the movement, building on our early success and scaling our impact to reach more young people.  You will strengthen and amplify our partnerships while developing and leading a deeply committed and passionate team across India and the U.K.

You will have experience of shaping vision and strategy.  You will possess international cultural fluency.  You will be accustomed to delivering outstanding operational results at speed.  You will be skilled at building trust-based relationships within a complex stakeholder context across sectors, continents and cultures. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong fundraising skills, a track record of advocacy and influencing and a deep understanding of our areas of work and where we operate.  You will work closely with the Board and Executive Team to develop systems, structure, interventions and innovation to deliver outstanding results and impact for young people. 

The role will see the person having a profile and network in the UK, while maintaining a strong presence in India through regular travel.

Perrett Laver will meet with the Selection Committee to agree upon a Longlist of candidates. Longlisted candidates will be invited to discuss the role and their candidature further with Perrett Laver in February.

The role can be based in either the UK or India as both are geographic hubs for the Karta Initiative and the salary is competitive with the seniority of the appointment.
