For Policy, For Practice, For Impact
CES is a non-profit, all-island organisation established in 2008. We work with agencies, government departments, and organisations from initial policy development right through to improving practice. We bring new thinking to complex social problems, to improve outcomes for people living in Ireland and Northern Ireland. We have maintained and strengthened our original vision of supporting evidence-informed policy and practice to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families. Our work is now reaching into more sectors including education, health, mental health, social services and justice.
We put evidence and implementation at the heart of what we do, whether it is working with policymakers to design policy, or to support decision making in busy frontline services. We believe that research, people’s experiences of public services, and the learning from frontline practice are forms of evidence that can improve services for people.
We are seeking an exceptional leader and committed new CEO. Continuing to pursue the ambitious strategic vision of CES, the CEO will lead a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to work collaboratively to achieve high standards and organisational goals. They will embrace the opportunity for evidence and its real world application and will work positively to cultivate effective partnerships and relationships with a range of cross-sector stakeholders. Strong intellectual curiosity and the desire to explore new ideas and innovative approaches to problem-solving will be important. Perhaps most importantly, the successful candidate will be passionate about better outcomes for people using services across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
