Shaping a more liveable world.

DAI works on the frontlines of global development. Our mission is to make a lasting difference in the world by helping people improve their lives. We envision a world in which communities and societies become more prosperous, fairer and better governed, safer, healthier, and environmentally more sustainable.

Since 1970, we have worked in more than 150 countries–delivering results across the spectrum of international development contexts, from stable societies and high-growth economies to challenging environments racked by political or military conflict. It remains today what it was as a start-up: innovative, alert, self-critical, and forward-looking, and driven by a powerful sense of corporate purpose.

We are now seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) to provide vision, leadership and operational direction to DAI’s EU Business Unit. A unique opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious leader, the role will deliver a profitable growth trajectory with excellent development results, the highest standards of ethical performance, and extensive synergies with other DAI businesses and corporate departments. We offer the successful candidate the chance to lead a growing business unit focused on shaping a more liveable world.

The successful candidate will bring a majority of:

  • Significant relevant leadership experience, especially in winning, managing, and delivering development projects;
  • Exceptional business acumen, with an excellent record of business development and delivery success in international development or professional consulting;
  • An innovative and collaborative leadership style with strong intellectual agility and ability;
  • Extensive international development sector knowledge and deep relevant networks to build strong EU relationships;
  • Interest, will, and availability to travel as needed to DAI’s countries of operation;
  • A passion for and commitment to the aims and values of DAI.

To apply please download further information on the required qualifications, skills and experience for the role, quoting reference 4531.

The deadline for applications is 9am GMT on Monday 17th February 2020. Formal interviews with DAI will take place in March.

The role will be based in either Brussels or Vienna and the salary is competitive with the market rate and commensurate with the seniority of the appointment.
