Every year millions of people come to us for advice and help with solving their problems. We have over 800 national staff and 6,300 local staff, 18,300 local volunteers and 3,000 Witness Service volunteers. Together we deliver the Witness Service, Pension Wise, the Consumer Service, the Help to Claim service and debt advice funded by the Money and Pensions Service. We’re also the consumer champion for the energy market and the statutory consumer watchdog for the postal service. Our network of over 270 local Citizens Advice charities means we have the insight and flexibility to adapt and respond to local needs. We’re an important part of communities with approximately 2,550 locations across England and Wales.
Reporting to the Chief Executive as a core member of the Executive Team, the Executive Director of People leads on all aspects of the people service, overseeing day to day delivery and leading on Citizens Advice people related strategies. You will lead, develop and implement the people strategy and the culture ambitions that are a core part of our overall Future of Advice strategy. You will collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation and create an inclusive environment enabling the delivery of our organisation priorities and goals. In addition, you will be accountable for employee communications and engagement as well as supporting the Trustee Board’s People Committee.
We are seeking an inspirational, energetic and talented Executive Director of People who can bring a combination of strategic thinking and operational excellence to contribute to an organisation that is here for everyone - giving people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are and whatever their problem. You will have a proven track record of successfully leading change in a senior leadership role in a complex, multi-site organisation, be outcome focused and self-motivated, be flexible and enthusiastic in implementing plans with a real passion for people and culture.
