The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), is a college of the University of London and one of the world’s most influential cancer research organisations, with an outstanding record of achievement dating back more than a century. The ICR’s mission is to make the discoveries that defeat cancer, and its scientists and clinicians work every day to make a real impact on cancer patients’ lives. The ICR is ranked as the UK's leading academic research centre, and our unique partnership with The Royal Marsden Hospital enables an integrated 'bench-to-bedside' approach to research that places our comprehensive cancer centre in the top four worldwide.
The ICR is now seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Reporting to the Chair of the Board of Trustees, the CEO has overall responsibility for all aspects of the ICR's research, learning and teaching, and operations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of successfully working with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders. S/he will also have the commercial acumen, leadership experience, and ambassadorial skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation, as well as with external partners, ensuring that the ICR continues to be one of the leading cancer centres in the world.
