IMD is now seeking a new Director of Development and Alumni Relations to implement a step change in our fundraising and supporter engagement and to drive our team forward. Reporting to the President and working closely with the governing and advisory boards, the Director of Development and Alumni Relations will have responsibility for all alumni engagement, corporate sponsorship and partnerships, events and individual fundraising. Leading a small but dedicated team, the Director of Development and Alumni Relations will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership of IMD’s development and alumni activities and will be expected to deliver on a strategy to significantly enhance engagement with supporters, donors and partners and to increase philanthropic income.

Candidates will be passionate about IMD’s mission and will bring a successful track record of building effective, long-term, high-value philanthropic relationships together with evident major gift fundraising and leadership experience. Candidates will have experience of developing and implementing an integrated and diverse fundraising strategy, including the setting of strategic objectives and targets and will bring proven experience of creative fundraising from a variety of sources and demonstrable fundraising experience within Europe. English is the business language of IMD and candidates must be fluent; French fluency is desirable but not essential.

An executive search exercise is being undertaken by Perrett Laver who will support IMD in identifying the widest possible field of qualified candidates and assist in their assessment against the requirements for the role.
