The University now seeks a Pro Vice-Chancellor & Head of College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries to join them on this journey who will bring truly inspirational, visionary leadership to a dynamic College. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and President, you will drive continued excellence and work in partnership with stakeholders, including colleagues and students, to deliver successful, high quality transformative and inclusive learning and an exceptional experience for all. The College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries (DCDI) brings together, under one umbrella, academic programmes, research activity and enterprise in Media, Arts and Design, Architecture and Technology. Established in 2018, DCDI was created recognising the convergence between technological development and the creative industries and the need to provide our students with cutting edge practical education and equip them with the confidence to succeed and flourish.
As a member of the University Executive Board, you will join a small team of ambitious leaders driving the University towards a successful future. You will ensure the College provides an infrastructure for high performing academic Schools, and the agility to respond to societal needs and a changing higher education landscape, hence, in turn, contributing to a focussed, high-performing University.
This position requires an individual passionate about the design, creative and digital industries, and the potential for interdisciplinarity, innovation and connectivity. You will have the courage and conviction to try new initiatives and embrace change, alongside the prudence and reflectiveness to ensure continued sustainability. The University is particularly keen to identify those who will be keen ambassadors for their disciplines and education’s role in changing lives and creating meaningful impact.
