The West Kowloon Cultural District, located on a dramatic harbour-front site in the heart of Hong Kong, is one of the largest cultural projects in the world, blending art, education and open space.

We are currently recruiting the following position to join the Authority.

General Manager, Secretariat Services 

Reporting to the General Counsel, you are responsible for:

  • leading full range of board secretariat services for the Authority and its subsidiaries; 
  • developing the year planner for the Board and all committee meetings, preparing agendas and reviewing papers for Board and Committee meetings;
  • liaising with Government Bureaux on Board and Committee matters;
  • advising members of the Board and Committees of the corporate governance and  relevant policies;
  • monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and ensuring the Board , Committees  and subsidiaries  are fully briefed; and
  • developing and managing implementation of internal systems and processes to ensure the Board, Committees and subsidiaries  comply with all applicable codes relating to its legal, regulatory and statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  1. a recognised university degree in law, accounting or public administration or equivalent;
  2. a professional membership of HKICS/ICSA or equivalent; hands-on experience in Board Secretariat functions in public/statutory bodies is preferred;
  3. at least 10 years of experience in corporate and governance administration gained from statutory or public organisations, including at least 5 years at a senior level;
  4. high integrity and strong sense of responsibility;
  5. strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead the team and deliver value on behalf of senior executives and members of the Board;
  6. ability to work independently under pressure with minimum supervision; and
  7. excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
