The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) is one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the South of England with 45 Primary and Secondary Academies in the TKAT family. All TKAT schools have a shared and common purpose to ensure that all pupils and staff, regardless of the traditional barriers to success, have the opportunities and resources to achieve their academic and career aspirations within a safe, inclusive and ambitious organisation

TKAT is at an exciting stage of its development.  Having grown rapidly in recent years, it has set an ambitious new strategy for school improvement and is looking to reinvigorate its leadership and governance.

The Trust, is now seeking two additional experienced Trustees, at least one with deep experience of executive leadership within a MAT. The successful candidates will be individuals of exceptional calibre, combining a keen intellect, a collaborative approach, and prior Board experience from another Multi-Academy Trust and/or other large public, private or charitable organisations.

The minimum time commitment is 6 board meetings per year and additionally Trustees are asked to be part of at least one committee, which typically meet 4 times per year. In addition, trustees should be prepared for ad hoc involvement and school visits outside Board and Committee meetings. These positions are unremunerated, but travel expenses are covered.
