About the Position and Incubator

The office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education and Innovation (DVC EI) is responsible for educational strategy and programs in the University that centre on students, learning and teaching as well as the Vice-Chancellor’s areas of innovation focus. Reporting directly to the DVC EI, the Director of the Course Innovation Incubator will lead a key part of the ACU Innovation Strategy to provide the strategic platform to develop and implement new program offerings, linked to research and industry, across and outside of ACU’s existing course portfolio.

The Incubator will lead and support ACU to expand into new areas of expertise with a strong emphasis on digital, information and communication technologies to drive innovation and growth. The Incubator will generate and recalibrate new opportunities through knowledge cross-over with Health, Education, Business, Social Sciences and Humanities, and shape the understanding and application of digital disruptions on business practices and models through collaboration and co-creation with industry and business partners.

The Director position presents a unique opportunity to play a key role in ACU’s Innovation Strategy, focusing both on strengthening existing capabilities and connecting them with new and emerging areas that align with ACU’s mission and strong community orientation.
