Director, Major Gifts for US Market

Movember has a vision: to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. By 2030, we aim to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.

Since its humble beginnings in 2003, the Movember movement has grown to be a truly global one, operating in 21 countries and inspiring support from over 6 million people worldwide. We are currently ranked 45th out of the top 500 non-governmental organisations around the world.

In order to support our vision and ambitious goals, we have been building the fundraising strategy beyond our famous peer to peer campaign. Movember now seeks a new Director of Major Gifts for the US market who will work closely with fundraising colleagues and other team members across the global organisation to build a successful major gift fundraising program to support our mission. The Director will manage a group of assigned, qualified donors with the capacity to make annual gifts of $25,000 or more, with a view to developing and further building on a major donor pipeline.

This is a highly strategic role with the opportunity to craft a long term vision for Major Gifts in the US from a broad array of donors. We are looking for a team player who can work with fundraising peers globally and our programming teams to make this vision a reality. Reporting to the US Country Director, this role will drive revenue growth in a manner that is consistent with our values, supports our image as a disruptive charity brand and creates remarkable experiences for our entire community of stakeholders.

We welcome applications from successful fundraising/revenue development professionals who share our values, are excited by our mission and are excited to build a major gift strategy for the US. This role will preferably be based in NYC with a secondary option for LA.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Daniel Flynn at Perrett Laver at daniel.flynn@perrettlaver.com. The deadline for applications is Friday September 25, 2020 at 12 noon EDT.

Please submit a resume and application letter that addresses the following questions:

1. Why do your skills and expertise make you a good match for this role?

2. What Movember Value best resonates with you and why?

It is important to Movember that all its employees, including those with disabilities, find our workplace to be welcoming and supportive. Reasonable accommodations are available on request for candidates with disabilities taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
