Are you a fearless leader with the passion to beat heartbreak forever?
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) needs a trailblazer to lead our new Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement team and inspire millions of people in the UK to take action in the fight against heart and circulatory disease.
We are the UK's leading independent funder of heart and circulatory research. For 60 years we've funded ground-breaking research that is getting us closer than ever to a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.
With our research we give people hope. With our expert advice and training, we give people knowledge and support. And with our campaigning we help build a healthier world for everyone.
And our work has never been more needed. During the pandemic millions of people have turned to us for support and information. We are supporting vital research into the link between Covid-19 and cardiovascular disease. At the same time, we've faced the biggest financial challenge in our 60-year history, losing half our annual income.
We need a pioneer to spearhead the marketing, fundraising and engagement activities that will help us recover our position and protect our life-saving work.
As a strategic leader you will inspire our large, award-winning teams of talented colleagues with your vision. You will be responsible for developing an ambitious and customer-focused fundraising, propositions and engagement strategy that spans the BHF's portfolio of activities. Your strategic leadership of marketing and fundraising across the BHF will maximise income, increase our supporter base and deepen engagement with our key audiences.
You will bring outstanding experience of fundraising or income generation, alongside a strength in strategic marketing and consumer insight expertise. As a leader you will have exceptional communication, relationship building and networking skills, as well as a passion of our cause, personal integrity, and a collaborative approach.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding leader to build on our team's achievements and make a lasting impact in our work to beat heartbreak forever.
The BHF is proud that we are working towards being a truly diverse organisation. Our growing commitment to equality and diversity spans across our charity and we pride ourselves in being an inclusive employer who puts diversity at the heart of everything that we do.
If you are motivated to help us to achieve our vision, you can apply or download further information on the required qualifications, skills and experience for the role below, quoting reference 4817. The closing date for applications is 9am UK time on the 2 November 2020.
The role will be based in London and the salary is attractive and commensurate with the seniority of the role.
