The University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School is seeking its next Dean. A relatively young, vibrant and world-leading School embedded within a prestigious institution, Oxford Saïd has become known for delivering cutting-edge education and ground-breaking research that transforms individuals, organisations, business practice, and society. Its global community works collectively to find solutions to pressing global issues such as demographic change, natural resource scarcity and technological challenges. The School is renowned for the diversity of its community and emphasis on entrepreneurship, social impact, sustainability, and responsible business.
At a time where the global business community are seeking to reframe their influence within society beyond merely economic outcomes, the next Dean will have a unique opportunity to draw upon the extraordinary capabilities of the world’s number one ranked university, and help drive Oxford Saïd to become one of the world’s most distinctive, influential and impactful business schools.
To achieve this, the next Dean will need energy and creativity, strategic insight, a demonstrable commitment to research excellence and outstanding academic leadership. They will need to demonstrate collaborative leadership and management skills of the highest quality and sensitivity, and they will have an opportunity to assemble and empower a senior leadership team.
Critically, they must possess the ambition to lift Oxford Saïd to be the world’s most impactful business school and to help redefine the very model of a business school for this challenging era.
The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon GMT on Monday 9th November 2020.
Familiarisation visits will take place in January 2021 and Formal interviews will take place on Friday 5th February 2021 in Oxford.
