The Skinners’ Company is a modern and diverse livery company, incorporated by Royal Charter in 1327 and now a major not-for-profit organisation involved in running seven schools across the independent and academy sectors, sheltered housing and grant programmes. We also provide support to the Mayoralty and the Corporation of London and through sponsorship of our military, educational and charitable affiliated organisations.

We seek an ambitious and innovative professional to lead our Education Team, providing exceptional strategic and operational leadership. For an imaginative educator or wider not-for-profit professional with education sector experience, this is an exciting opportunity to shape The Skinners’ Company’s education strategy, providing expert advice to the Clerk and the Court, to the Education Committee and to the wider team of Governors who support our seven schools. The appointee will also offer a high level of administrative and organisational support to our schools and academies.

The successful candidate will possess strong intellectual abilities, natural curiosity and demonstrable engagement with the rapidly changing national and international educational landscape. Skilled at working with a diversity of stakeholders, s/he will offer excellent advocacy skills, relationship-building skills and confidence in providing support and challenge. The appointee will also bring first class organisational and communication skills, and the ability to translate education strategy into workable plans with clear objectives.

The Skinners’ Company is committed to equality, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all staff. We are an equal opportunities employer that recruits on merit and we welcome applications from all members of the community.
