Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor Education, the position of Director of Learning and Teaching is a key strategic leadership role within the University Senior Leadership Team delivering on this central mission. The University seeks an innovative academic and strategically focussed leader who has a track record in managing existing, and developing new, initiatives to maintain and enhance the student academic experience. Working across the University, the successful candidate will coordinate a crucial implementation plan for learning and teaching, whilst supporting the ongoing development of the academic portfolio. As the pedagogic leader for the University, s/he will be responsible for aspects of quality enhancement and academic support and also maintain and build beneficial cross-sector relationships with external stakeholders to enhance University practice and reputation. Key direct reports include the Director of the Staffordshire Centre of Learning and Pedagogic Practice (SCoLPP) and the Director of Education Partnerships.
