Conserving the lands and waters on which all life depends

The Nature Conservancy is a global environmental non-profit working to create a world where people and nature can thrive. Founded in the U.S. through grassroots action in 1951, The Nature Conservancy has grown to become one of the most effective and wide-reaching environmental organizations in the world. In Europe, The Nature Conservancy leverages science, policy, finance and proven field experience from nearly seven decades of success in over 70 countries to drive globally relevant strategies in Europe and from Europe for large scale and lasting conservation impact.

TNC Europe is now seeking an ambitious and mission oriented individual to join us as Director of Corporate Engagement. Reporting to the Regional Managing Director for Europe, and working closely with global TNC colleagues, the Director of Corporate Engagement will further the work of the Conservancy, and its conservation partners, through direct interaction and partnerships with businesses headquartered in Europe focusing on practices, policy and funding initiatives that provide conservation opportunities and impact our global conservation programs and mission.

In this role we are seeking a dynamic individual with deep strategic engagement experience to lead across Europe in an ambitious and highly mission-driven organisation. The successful Director of Corporate Engagement will demonstrate significant experience of forging, developing and leveraging strategic partnerships across sectors, including resource mobilization. You will ideally bring existing networks among high-level corporate decision-makers in Europe, as well as an understanding of the sustainability landscape, reporting and business commitments in Europe. You will be an exceptionally strong communicator with a naturally collaborative style, ideally gained from working in a globally dispersed and matrixed environment, and the ability to bring broad credibility with a range of relevant stakeholders both internally and externally. Most importantly, our Director of Corporate Engagement will demonstrate a genuine alignment with the values of TNC and seek to apply their skills in corporate engagement towards achieving its crucial mission.

To apply, please submit your CV and covering letter, detailing how you fulfil the role description and personal specification, quoting reference 5064. The deadline for applications is 9am BST on Tuesday 6th April 2021.

The role can ideally be based in Berlin, London or Brussels. Flexible working policies apply, especially during the current Covid Pandemic. The salary is competitive and commensurate with the experience required.
