It is within this context that we seek to appoint our next Dean of the Faculty of Health Studies. The Faculty provides excellent research-informed teaching delivered by highly committed staff and conducts real-world research that makes a positive impact to people’s lives. Our graduates are equipped with the employability skills they need to succeed in a wide range of healthcare and associated professions. It is an exciting time to lead the Faculty as it responds to global challenges and grows in response to significant workforce need and applicant demand.

Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic, Quality and Innovation), the postholder will provide inspirational, innovative and enterprising academic leadership to ensure that the Faculty achieves the highest academic standards and supports the achievement of the University’s mission, vision, and overall objectives. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of healthcare professions and excellent leadership capability alongside a demonstrable track record of successful strategic delivery through working in partnership with service providers. They will be an inclusive leader, committed to the values of the University of Bradford, and possess the personal and diplomatic skills required to be an exceptional ambassador for the institution, with proven experience of working effectively with local trusts, professional bodies, and stakeholders.
