Maastricht University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering is looking to appoint a Professor of Sustainable Chemical Engineering. The successful appointee will set up and develop a new research group in the field of sustainable process technology. Providing leadership to the group, s/he will be responsible for the overall quality of work as well as the associated research and teaching programmes. With an international reputation for excellence in innovative science in the field of chemical engineering and sustainable process technology, s/he will also be expected to contribute to the development of the educational curriculum.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) is home to several outstanding departments in education and research. Students and scientists contribute to education programmes at the bachelor's, master's and PhD levels and take part in innovative research in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The Faculty houses over 2,400 students and 370 employees, spread over locations in Maastricht and the Brightlands campuses.
