The IKEA Foundation is now seeking an experienced Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation Manager, to join our small but experienced MLE team, to support primarily our Climate Action portfolio (as well as the broader portfolio areas across Renewable Energy, Agricultural Livelihoods, Employment & Entrepeneurship, Refugee Livelihoods and Special Initiatives). As an MLE Manager working in Climate Action, and across portfolios, you will work closely with colleagues to make available and understandable to partners the existing evidence base to order to identify the level of uncertainty in achieving impact, appropriate key performance indicators, and evaluation questions to be answered.

Reporting to the Head of MLE, you will contribute to the further development of the IKEA Foundation, being an active member in strategic and operational discussions.  

We are seeking an individual with significant experience in implementing grant-level monitoring, learning and evaluation, ideally in a related field including climate action, and designing and managing M&E systems for policy and advocacy interventions. You will bring previous experience in managing complex assignments, conducting independent evaluations and rolling up sleeves to execute assignments. The successful candidate will be a strategic and analytical thinker, with a strong goal orientation and creative problem-solving abilities. S/he will be able to speak to expert and non-expert audiences, while refraining from jargon and frame complex issues in clear and simple language. S/he will be curious, initiative-rich, decisive, result oriented and a team player.  Most importantly, the successful individual will demonstrate a strong commitment to the vision, mission and values of the IKEA Foundation.

This full-time (38 hours) position will be based in Leiden, The Netherlands, and the salary will be competitive with market rate.
