We strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

At Plan International we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to transform the lives of 100 million girls over five years. We are working with local communities in more than 50 countries to ensure that all children realise their rights. Given that girls are often the most vulnerable, we place a special focus on tackling the challenges they face – such as ending child marriage, ensuring girls stay in school and amplifying their voices to ensure that those in power hear their lived realities and solutions for which they are calling. Our five-year Global Strategy challenges us to deliver even more impact for the girls and children we work with and for.

The Executive Director of People and Culture is the most senior executive worldwide in leading Plan’s global people assets and organisational culture. The Executive Director of People and Culture will build on our current strengths and be a strategic business partner to the CEO and Leadership Team. You will develop and drive a sustainable and inclusive People, Organisation and Culture plan that is aligned with Plan International’s Values and Global Strategy and develop and deliver a new global Operating Model for People and Culture to ensure Plan International attracts, develops, rewards and retains a highly skilled, diverse and global workforce capable of delivering on our purpose.

Plan International wishes to encourage applications from senior professional leaders from a variety of backgrounds. Candidates will evidence professional accomplishments across all aspects of people and culture and must be of exceptional calibre with integrity, clear strategic vision and leadership qualities. You will bring strategic leadership and change management experience within large and complex global organisations. Perhaps most importantly, you will bring a deep and demonstrable commitment to advancing children’s rights and equality for girls, and to the principles of feminist leadership.
