Oikocredit is now seeking an inspirational and mission-oriented individual to join as Managing Director. The Managing Director chairs the Managing Board, which is collectively accountable to the Supervisory Board. The Managing Director will be responsible for steering the strategy development, executing and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the organisation, driving and sustaining collaboration with strategic partners and investors, and representing the organisation as Oikocredit’s principal spokesperson.

In this role, Oikocredit is seeking a dynamic individual with a strong strategic focus and a track record of leadership to succeed in an ambitious, socially-oriented and highly impactful organisation. The successful Managing Director will demonstrate significant experience in working and leading in a complex environment with multi-stakeholder involvement. The candidate will bring an understanding of finance and/or development economics; prior experience in related countries or portfolios will be beneficial. The candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, bringing a participatory leadership style, digital savviness, highly effective networking skills and a strong ability to motivate and inspire members, investors, staff and partners. A thorough knowledge of English is a must, while additional languages, such as Spanish or French, are an asset. Most importantly, the Managing Director will demonstrate genuine alignment with the values of Oikocredit and seek to apply their skills towards achieving its crucial mission.
