Executive Director of Membership and Global

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) is a professional membership association dedicated to transforming women’s healthcare. Founded in 1929, we now have over 16,000 members worldwide, with 50% based outside the UK, we are seen as a leader in women’s healthcare globally. We work tirelessly to improve women’s healthcare, partnering with a range of organisations and influencing at the highest levels to improve the standard of care delivered to women and girls. We provide professional support to our members, ensure quality through examination, influence policy-makers and support the advance of research in obstetrics and gynaecology.

We are now seeking to appoint a new Executive Director of Membership and Global. A member of the senior leadership and reporting to the Chief Executive, this role is responsible for effective relationships between the RCOG and its members worldwide, growing membership, ensuring access to relevant and valued member benefits, and overseeing the College’s global health development programmes and its workforce strategy.

You will be a senior leader with experience working at director level in a service-led organisation. You will bring knowledge and experience of strategic challenges and service implementation, and the ability to deliver change. You will have a track record in leading a high performing team; experience of leading digital transformation, working in an international context and leading successful major grants is desirable. Candidates must also embrace the College’s values of innovation, caring, inclusivity, trust and integrity, hold a strong commitment to the values of equality and diversity, and feel genuinely motivated to impact positively on women’s health.
