We Are Not Spectators. We work in all parts of London, and on behalf of all Londoners to support them to live more active lives. We’re constantly challenging the sport and physical activity industry to think more creatively about the ways that it works for London– and we include ourselves in that challenge, too. If we’re not thinking creatively, we’re not thinking clearly enough about what matters for Londoners from every corner of the capital.
The inequalities in access, prevalent prior to the pandemic, have grown worse; they must be central to our thinking as we drive forward a programme of measures that will help more Londoners to get active, stay active and create an active legacy for generations.
We are looking for a new Chief Executive Officer who will be responsible for delivering an ambitious agenda and real change for individuals and communities across our capital. You will do this against a background of continuing change in the way we work, deliver services and engage with each other, requiring constant adjustment and empathy whilst focusing on progress and success. We’re looking for a leader who will challenge us, encourage us and work with us to raise the game for physical activity and sport.
The next Chief Executive Officer will require a range of skills and experience. Above all, you will share the team’s strong commitment to, and passion for, physcial activity as a lever for social change. We wish to encourage applications from visionary and inclusive leaders drawn from a range of backgrounds who can drive and inspire change for Londoners. You will have exceptional communication and ambassadorial skills. You will be a humble, proactive and innovative individual, with credibility, authenticity and integrity. You will be a values-driven, innovative leader with proven experience of delivering organisational vision and strategy, as well as relationship building skills in a complex stakeholder context and challenging market environment.
