Our new President & Provost Dr Michael Spence joined UCL in 2021. As he builds UCL’s senior leadership team, we now seek to appoint three positions: Vice-Provost (Education & Student Experience), Vice-President (Strategy & Planning) and Vice-President (Advancement). This new team will deliver a unified strategy for UCL, through collaboration built on trust, openness, collaboration and commitment.

The Vice-Provost (Education & Student Experience) leads UCL's education portfolio, enabling our cohort of very talented students to maximise their potential. We want our students to learn how to think, not what to think, and to develop the networks, skills and mindsets that equip them for exciting futures. The role holder will build on the great progress we have made to put education at the heart of UCL, strengthening our networks of talented and committed educators, leading the teams that facilitate effective curriculum development, innovative teaching and learning, co-curricular and lifelong learning across our multidisciplinary university. They will work in partnership with our students so that teaching and learning and the wider student experience reflects their aspirations and needs. They will make sure that our curriculum responds to our fast-changing society and capitalise on sector opportunities and developments.

UCL is seeking a collaborative and strategic individual who will play a critical role in the leadership of the University as a whole, as well as owning delivery within their own portfolio.  Of professorial calibre and with a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving higher education landscape, they will have a strong track record of delivering excellent education and steering positive change in a complex, high performing university. They will demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence, team working and inspirational leadership as well as profound expertise in education and the business of education, delivering practical solutions to make UCL education a great experience for all our students.
