Digital Rights Are Human Rights

The Digital Freedom Fund (DFF) supports strategic litigation to advance digital rights in Europe. DFF provides financial support and seeks to catalyse collaboration between digital rights activists to enable people to exercise their human rights in digital and networked spaces. Founded in 2017, in response to calls from the digital rights field, the Digital Freedom Fund’s role is as a catalyst, facilitator, and supporter. Beyond providing grants, creating and implementing workshops, and developing resources for strategic litigators, they also carefully monitor current and emerging trends, so they can best strengthen and advance digital rights in Europe, and beyond.

The Digital Freedom Fund is now seeking an inspirational and mission-oriented individual to join as Executive Director. Reporting to the board, the Executive Director will play a key role in developing and implementing the organisational strategy, successfully leading the current team, increasing fundraising opportunities, and representing the organisation as DFF’s principal spokesperson.

In this role, DFF is seeking an authentic and charismatic individual with a strong strategic focus and track record of leadership to succeed in an ambitious and highly impactful organisation. The individual will demonstrate an understanding of strategic litigation and possess experience in the human rights field particularly with issues in racial and social justice and a proven track record in successful fundraising; an affinity with the digital rights field is an asset. They will possess strong communication skills and a collaborative and inspiring leadership style. Most importantly the Executive Director has a deep passion for the human rights field and genuine alignment with the mission of the Digital Freedom Fund.
