The Apollo Partnership Trust passionately believes in giving young people the very best education and the chance to progress and develop themselves through the wide opportunities we offer as a Trust. The Trust was formed in November 2017 and currently comprises three academies located in North West Leicestershire: The Castle Rock School, The Newbridge School and Broom Leys Primary School.
We are now seeking four new Trustees to contribute to the ongoing strategic development of our Trust. The successful candidates will be individuals of exceptional calibre, combining a keen intellect, a collaborative approach, and ideally prior Board experience. This previous Board level experience might have been gained within from the broader education sector, from sectors outside of education or from another Multi-Academy Trust.
To further enhance the diversity of experiences represented on our Board, we are especially interested in candidates with proven strategic financial oversight and expertise, candidates with proven high level experience in education (ideally as a MAT CEO / Education Improvement Director), candidates with a legal background and candidates with experience of estate management.
The minimum time commitment is six board meetings per year. Additionally, Trustees are asked to be part of at least one committee, which typically meet three times per year. These positions are unremunerated, but reasonable out of pocket travel expenses are covered.
Applicants should submit a full CV and a covering letter of application addressed to the Chair, Michala Worrell, which fully addresses the competencies outlined in the job description and person specification and outlines their interest in Apollo.
Apollo values diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
