The University of Vienna is the oldest university in the German-speaking world. Founded in 1365, it has a long and rich history of academic excellence and is associated with 21 Nobel prize winners. As the largest university in Central Europe, the University of Vienna plays an important role in the local ecosystem and beyond: as an employer, innovator, and as a driver of internationalisation.

Reflected in its international staff and student make-up, internationalisation has long presented a strategic priority for the University of Vienna across research, education, and its service missions. To further strengthen the university’s internationalisation efforts and lead the strategy development around international affairs for the university, a new Head of International Office was appointed in 2019.

Following on from increased internationalisation efforts, and central to the university’s ambitious internationalisation agenda, a key priority is the institution’s embedding in strategic partnerships across Europe, including CENTRAL and The Guild. As a priority, the Project Co-Lead, University Networks, will coordinate activities and relations for a prestigious network that the university will be joining soon, and, in time, will also drive the university’s engagement with The Guild and CENTRAL networks; where applicable, in close coordination with relevant colleagues.

The offer from the University of Vienna is a full-time appointment as Project Co-Lead, University Networks starting as soon as possible. The salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
