Jay Piggot will step down in summer 2022 after a transformative decade that has seen the opening of the Lower School, sustained advancement in the education of Epsom’s pupils, and the opening of Epsom College in Malaysia.

The Governors seek a visionary and innovative educationalist to build on this platform of success and guide the School into the next exciting phase of its evolution.  Working as a team with the Board, the next Head will ensure that Epsom builds on its reputation for achieving outstanding outcomes with and for its pupils, staff and local community. They will bring strong commitments to diversity, inclusion, partnerships, sustainability and internationalism. They will continue to grow opportunities for all staff within the School and open up pathways for future development while enhancing an already exceptional record of academic and co-curricular achievement.

Proactive, visible and inclusive, the next Head will set a clear vision for Epsom’s next chapter and will translate this into a workable strategy for implementation, empowering all colleagues to participate and deliver. A positive and engaging communicator, committed to continuing their own learning, the successful candidate will offer a track record of strategic, educational and people leadership experience, gained as a Head or Deputy Head. They will offer strong intellectual abilities, a deep understanding of boarding and a genuine commitment to the value of broad and inclusive education.
