Are you up for helping others to live well and make every day count?

Keech Hospice Care is one of only a handful of hospices in the country caring for both adults and children with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. As a charity, based on a partnership of staff and volunteers, we provide free, specialist care that supports patients to have their symptoms, both physical and emotional, relieved so they can spend quality time with their family and friends, understand what’s happening to them, stay out of hospital and make the most of the time they have.

The impact of the pandemic has not yet been fully realised, but with the expectation of rising demand for our patient services and bereavement support for families, we know that new and innovative approaches will be needed to ride this wave and continue to deliver our excellent care wherever people need us, whoever they are and whatever their diagnosis.

That is why we are looking to appoint to a new role – Executive Director of Engagement, Innovation and Digital, who will work with our supporter engagement, income generation and marketing and communications teams, as well as with the rest of the organisation to help us grow our capabilities, build innovative approaches and develop new products and partnerships in pursuit of building future resilience as a leading hospice. Whether that is a new approach to raising income, engaging with patients, volunteers, supporters or stakeholders, delivering a service, or working smarter as an organisation, this role will lead and drive the digital, data, and insight-led innovation and improvements across the organisation to help deliver on our mission and vision. We want our products to inspire people to act - whether that is in support of Keech Hospice Care to generate income, to volunteer, or to support their community.

As the successful candidate, you will bring extensive knowledge and experience in digital innovation strategy, implementation and change management, as well as experience in customer journeys and marketing and communications, and knowledge of fundraising and commercial approaches to driving income. You will be a collaborative, values-driven, people-focussed leader with strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence and the ability to inspire and motivate innovative responses to problems and opportunities. A healthy risk appetite, flexibility and willingness to embrace ambiguity and maintain a long-term view whilst driving change, will also underpin success in the role.

If you have the enthusiasm and skills to lead and inspire this agenda at Keech Hospice Care and can demonstrate passion for our purpose and values, we look forward very much to hearing from you.

To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter, detailing how you fulfil the role description and personal specification to: https://candidates.perrettlaver.com/vacancies/ quoting reference 5316.

The deadline for applications is 09.00 GMT on Monday 8th November 2021.
