As Ireland’s leading university, Trinity College Dublin plays a decisive role in education, advancing global research and driving economic growth in Ireland. Located in a beautiful historic campus in the heart of Dublin’s city centre, Trinity is Ireland's leading university, ranked No. 1 in Ireland and 101st in the world (QS World University Rankings 2021).  It is home to 18,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across all the major disciplines in the arts and humanities, and in business, law, engineering, science, and health sciences.

With the appointment of Trinity’s new Provost & President, Professor Linda Doyle and the success of Trinity’s philanthropic campaign Inspiring Generations which raised over €400m, Trinity Development and Alumni (TDA) is seeking to appoint a new Director of Development to build on the success of the campaign and drive the next phase of Trinity’s philanthropic journey and to enhance the leadership of its development team. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this position is a critical member of the executive team of TDA.  The incoming Development Director will be responsible for leading the development team and building effective, long-term, high-value philanthropic relationships, with their own portfolio of prospects and donors.

Passionate about Trinity’s values and mission, the successful candidate will have a track record of operating at a senior level in a strategic capacity, experience of major and principal gift fundraising and leading high performing fundraising teams.

An executive search exercise is being undertaken by Perrett Laver who will support TDA in identifying the widest possible field of qualified candidates and assist in their assessment against the requirements for the role.

The closing date for applications is noon GMT Friday 26th November.
