Our vision is for a world where epilepsy is irrelevant. And people with epilepsy lead the lives they want to lead.

We are the UK’s only charity transforming the lives of people with epilepsy through world-leading research, advocacy and care. We put people at the heart of everything that we do; and we hope to see the day when epilepsy is irrelevant.

Reporting to the Chair of the Board, we are looking for a Trustee with experience and expertise in social care. As a Trustee, you will help to guide the charity as it implements its strategy, and ensure that the charity pursues its mission in line with its values.

The successful candidate will be experienced, empathetic, and resilient with commercial acumen, strategic insight and a track record of working within the sector. We would like to hear from candidates with social care experience whether in the commercial or in the non-profit sector. Experience in a non-executive role is an advantage.

To apply, please upload an up-to-date curriculum vitae (including comprehensive details of key achievements and responsibilities) along with a covering letter of application summarising motivation in applying and addressing the role description, key competencies, and person specification quoting reference 5366.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 9th December 2021 at 9am GMT.

The Epilepsy Society is located in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Epilepsy Society is an equal opportunities employer. Epilepsy Society is registered as a Disability Confident Committed Employer (Level 1): if a candidate declares a disability and meets the minimum requirements of the role they will be considered for interview. We are particularly keen to receive applications from individuals with lived experience of epilepsy.
